Where does the money go?Good causes: healing in the Negev
All proceeds of this JNF Lottery go to Lahav Farm in the Negev desert, Israel. There, Israeli families — especially reservists mobilised after 7 October 2023, and their loved ones — find psychological and emotional therapy, combined with working the land. ANBI-recognised: your purchase truly makes a difference.
Therapy in the desert
In Israel, men and women have been called up again and again for long deployments in the army since 7 October 2023. When they return, they often carry the deep marks of what they have been through — and that affects their loved ones too.
Lahav Farm is a unique place, in the middle of the Negev desert, where parents and children work on their recovery together. Here, psychological and emotional therapy is combined with working the land, supported by professional guides during the therapy sessions and the work in the vineyards.
Demand for help is greater than the farm's current capacity. That is why this 72nd JNF Lottery has one clear goal: the creation of 10 hectares of new vineyards at Lahav Farm. More land means more therapeutic workplaces — and so more families who can be helped.
Lahav Farm lies in the northern Negev — this is where the 10 hectares of new vineyards will be planted.
Therapy with your hands in the soil
The Lahav Farm programme rests on three pillars that reinforce one another. No waiting room, but vineyards; no rush, but the rhythm of the land.
Psychological & emotional therapy
Individual and joint conversations help participants process profound experiences. The calm and space of the Negev create an environment in which recovery is given the time it needs.
Working the land
Participants work in the vineyards and fields: planting, pruning, harvesting. Meaningful physical work with visible results provides structure, satisfaction and a tangible sense of progress.
Professional guidance
Experienced mentors and professional guides are present throughout every programme — in the field and in the conversations. This keeps the combination of therapy and land work carefully tailored to each family.
Where does your money go?
Each ticket costs € 10. The distribution of the proceeds is fixed in advance and transparent to everyone.
Of every euro, 75% goes directly to Lahav Farm, intended for the creation of 10 hectares of new vineyards. 15% forms the prize pool for all 150 prizes, and 10% covers the operating and administrative costs of the lottery. As an ANBI-recognised institution, we provide full accountability for this.
The full distribution is accounted for in our annual report after the lottery ends. Annual reports and auditor's statements are available on request via info@jnfloterijactie.nl.
One ticket ≈ 1 m² of new vineyard
Your contribution can be expressed literally in square metres. This is how the cause grows, ticket by ticket.
The expansion with 10 hectares of vineyards structurally increases the capacity of Lahav Farm: more therapeutic workplaces in the field means the farm can receive and support more Israeli families at once — now and in the years to come.
From ticket to vineyard: the timeline
A vineyard is not planted in a single day. This is what the route looks like from your ticket to hectares in the Negev.
After the draw on 15 December 2026, the proceeds are transferred to Lahav Farm. In 2027 the creation of the new vineyards begins; from that moment the capacity of the therapy programme grows along with the planting.
Campaign & ticket sales
The 72nd JNF Lottery runs from 15 July to 14 December 2026. Each ticket sold for € 10 represents roughly one square metre of new vineyard.
Draw & transfer of proceeds
On 15 December 2026 all 150 prizes are drawn. After that, 75% of the proceeds is transferred to Lahav Farm and accounted for in the annual report.
Creation of the vineyards
The ground is prepared and the first vines of 10 hectares of new vineyards go into the Negev soil, planted around the existing farm.
Growing capacity
With each new plot, extra therapeutic workplaces are created, so that Lahav Farm can structurally receive and support more families.
Part of a bigger whole
Lahav Farm is one of the many projects of the worldwide JNF network, which has been planting trees, realising water projects and supporting agriculture and education in Israel since 1901. Curious about the broader work of JNF Nederland?
