JNF Nederland · Worldwide since 1901

About us: a trustworthy tradition

JNF Nederland is an ANBI-recognised charitable organisation focused on supporting Jews in Israel and the diaspora. Since our founding we have funded many projects, from agriculture to education. Our 72nd lottery supports Lahav Farm — with transparency and accountability at its heart.

Mission & history

From planting trees to restoring families

The worldwide Jewish National Fund (JNF) was founded in 1901 and grew into a network that literally helped shape the land of Israel.

For more than a century the JNF network has been planting trees, building water projects and supporting agriculture and education in Israel. From forests in Galilee to reservoirs in the Negev: generations of donors have left a lasting mark.

JNF Nederland — in full Stichting Joods Nationaal Fonds (JNF Nederland) — is the independent Dutch foundation within this network. From Amsterdam we support Jews in Israel and the diaspora with projects ranging from agriculture to education. The annual lottery is a cherished tradition in this: this year we are organising the 72nd edition, the proceeds of which go to Lahav Farm — a unique rehabilitation centre in the Negev.

Organisation

How JNF Nederland is organised

A small, efficient organisation — so that the largest possible share of every contribution reaches the cause.

JNF Nederland deliberately works without unnecessary layers. The foundation's board is unpaid and bears ultimate responsibility for policy, finances and the spending of the proceeds. The day-to-day management works from our office in Amsterdam and, during campaigns such as this lottery, is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers.

The lottery draw on 15 December 2026 takes place under independent supervision, with a certified Random Number Generator, and is broadcast live.

  • BoardUnpaid foundation board, ultimately responsible for policy, finances and accountability towards donors and supervisory authorities.
  • Day-to-day managementA compact team in Amsterdam handles the execution: from organising the lottery to liaising with Lahav Farm and the JNF network.
  • Independent supervision of the drawThe draw takes place under external, independent supervision, so that every ticket demonstrably has an equal chance.
  • VolunteersFor the lottery and other campaigns, volunteers dedicate themselves to promotion, events and the dispatch of prizes.
